If you’re a “wordsmither” (someone who wordsmiths or changes words before the document is complete), stop. Wordsmithing, for many writers, is simply a way to procrastinate and can be a distraction. Wait until you’ve completed the document before worrying about the words you’ve used — that should be reserved for editing.
