Hurley Write is excited to announce its 2024 Virtual Summit for Workplace Writing, a three-day event dedicated to exploring effective writing practices in highly regulated, technical industries. This summit, hosted on LinkedIn, will bring together subject matter experts from fields such as engineering, pharmaceuticals, accounting, and other technical fields to discuss the specifics of what good workplace writing looks like within their sectors.

  • Common challenges in technical writing and strategies to overcome them.
  • The role of writing in meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Case studies showcasing successful writing strategies in technical contexts.
  • Future trends and innovations in technical writing.

Presentation Formats

  • Individual Presentations: 20-30 minute video presentations on specific topics, pre-recorded.
  • Panel Discussions: Group discussions involving multiple experts, facilitated by a moderator, pre-recorded.
  • Workshops: Live, interactive sessions focused on specific skills or challenges in workplace writing, hosted over Zoom.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: 250-300 words describing the proposed presentation, including objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Biography: A brief professional biography of each presenter (100-150 words per presenter).
  • Contact Information: Email address and phone number.
  • Technical Requirements: Any specific technical needs for your presentation.


Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevance to the summit’s themes.
  • Originality and anticipated interest in the topic.
  • Depth of content and practical applicability.
  • Presenter expertise and experience in the field.
