  • The course content and short videos helped improve my writing. It would have been nice to be able to control the speed of the video as well as stop and rewind functions. Including visual examples of tables and charts would have helped.

  • It was really nice to work with you over the past two months. Your audience-oriented approach is very useful, as past writing classes I attended always focused on grammar and format, etc.

Using Semicolons:

Do you use dashes as your primary form of punctuation? If so, it’s time to learn more about semicolons and commas and when to actually use dashes.

Using Commas:

A misplaced comma can have a devastating effect on your document. Okay, perhaps “devastating” is too strong a word, but commas do show readers how to make sense of information. If you need some brushing up on your comma skills, check this baby out.

Sentence Fragments:

A complete sentence must. Include a subject and a verb. See how we did that? Those are sentence fragments; learn more how to ensure that your sentences are complete in this jewel.

Possessives versus plurals:

Are you the kind of writer who uses prepositional phrases just to avoid figuring out if a possessive or plural is required? If so, and if you’re not quite sure what a prepositional phrase is, this little beauty will teach you.

These interactive modules include

  • A voiced lecture
  • Knowledge checks
  • Supplement that includes additional discussion of the module's points
