Hi, my name is Misha Enos, and I'm an Executive Trainer and Consultant with Hurley Write, Incorporated. Growing up, I was fond of reading biographies and each new subject, whether it was Helen Keller, Jane Adams, Albert Schweitzer, Harriet Tubman, or Amelia Earhart, to name a few, became inspiration for a new career path, even if that path was long to fund.
By the time I got to college, I had finally settled on what some would say was a not much more practical calling, English. I have a bachelor's in English, an MA in Applied English Linguistics, and after a long interval to acquire real-world experience, I completed my Doctorate in Language and Literacy at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Before entering the doctoral program, I worked as an instructor in English as a second Language at four US universities and private institutes, as well as overseas in Poland and Chile. While in Chile, I left teaching to work as a journalist, covering primarily human rights issues and Chile's mining industry. I've taken a lot of detours in my professional work, just as I did reading about my childhood heroes, but I've always found roots that have developed my interest in expertise in languages and literacy, particularly writing.
The list is long. Ready? I worked as an undergraduate writing consultant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a graduate writing consultant at Harvard Graduate School of Education, a creative writing teacher in Houston area schools through a nonprofit, a research associate on two major literacy research projects, a translator, writer, and editor on forensic documents for immigration, and as a community college instructor in composition and literature. Hope I didn't forget anything.
Since that does not seem enough career diversity to fill one lifetime, I find myself now working happily with Hurley Write. As an executive trainer, I draw on my ESL background to design and deliver professional writing webinars and workshops to international employees working in the US. I very much look forward to working with you.
