Pamela E. Hurley, PhD, president of Hurley Write, Inc., earned her doctorate in Technical Communication from the University of South Carolina. Since 1995, Pam has worked as a writing consultant in industry, designing and teaching customized writing courses for various businesses and government agencies. She has also edited and written user manuals and done medical writing. In addition to her consulting business, she teaches scientific writing at Duke University and is and "online writing lab" for students at The George Washington University; she is also a PERI faculty member. Pam has received numerous teaching awards and has published various journals.
